Video Review/Giveaway – ALMOST A SCANDAL by Elizabeth Essex

Did you know I have an alter ego? Her name is Cerise d’Amour, and she likes strong cocktails, sparkly tiaras, and fingerless gloves. She also loves romance novels (surprise, surprise) – and she’s starting to review books and give them away!

Her very first video review is ALMOST A SCANDAL by Elizabeth Essex. You can check it out here:

Now that you’ve watched the video, you’re as excited to read it as Cerise was, right? If you’d like to win a signed copy of ALMOST A SCANDAL, enter via the Rafflecopter below (click the Rafflecopter for full terms and conditions; giveaways limited to 18+ and US only so that I don’t go to jail). I love girls dressed as boys romance stories. :-) They usually have some humor mixed in with the romance, sex and disguises. :-) Afraid I know nothing about Adm Nelson! LOL But I love ship board romance reading. :-)

  2. love ships.. because my dad served in the Navy… Adm. Nelson aka Lord Nelson…

  3. Sounds like an awesome romance. Anytime people are in disguise man that’s just awesome.

  4. LOL “Sex under the watchful solitary eye of the Admiral Nelson himself.” You crack me up! Loved the video review!
And I love disguises, especially when the girls are dressed as boys and kicking ass! And action on board a ship? Buy me a ticket.

  5. Like books set on a ship

  6. You are funny love your videos over the top dot com.

  7. I loved that book! Interesting to see a woman masquerade as a man and funny as well!

  8. Diane Sallans says:

You sure make this sound like a rollicking adventure – some aspects sound like the subplots of early romance novels that we haven’t seen in years – all good things do come around again!

  9. Joanne B says:

Great video review, very funny. I love stories where people are dressed in disguises. Almost a Scandal sounds fantastic.

  10. Great review. I just read this book the other day. reminded me of a book that I loved as a kid where a young girl through the course of a trip from britan to the americas went from a lady to a sailor.

  11. How exciting! Sex and ships and a one-eyed Admiral, oh my!

  12. Charlene says:

I just love fun, romantic books!

  13. Loved your video. Always fun when lovers find each other, especially with disguises

  14. Belinda says:

I just loved to watch the Love Boat on tv. It was cute and funny. Like your video. Thanks for giveaway.

  15. Hi all – sorry I missed replying to all the comments! I was at Bookexpo America last week, came home on Sunday, and promptly came down with a plague :( But thanks for stopping by! I loved this book, and I hope the winner (Shaquail) loves it too!

And by the way, @Mandy – was that “True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle”?! That was one of my favorite books as a kid!

  16. I think that what you published was actually very logical.

But, what about this? suppose you composed a catchier post title?
I ain’t saying your information isn’t solid, however suppose you
    added a title that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Video Review/Giveaway –
ALMOST A SCANDAL by Elizabeth Essex – Sara Ramsey is kinda vanilla.
You should look at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they write article headlines to
grab people to click. You might add a video or a related picture or two to
grab people excited about everything’ve written. In my
opinion, it might make your posts a little bit more interesting.
