My next book, The Earl Who Played With Fire, is coming in a few short months! The writing is progressing as planned, and Prudence is currently giving a certain earl some hell on their way to their happily ever after :) In the meantime, though, I could use your help with a critical component: the cover!

Please check out the three options and then use the Rafflecopter below to vote for your favorite. As a thank-you for helping me out, I’m giving away a few cool prizes (listed below the covers). But first, you want to see Prudence and Alex, right? The only difference is the color of the font…

a Rafflecopter giveaway

  1. Maybe The title in Pink and your name in the teal green ??
Other wise I like the yellow~

  2. The one with the yellow print caught my attention right away.

  3. Sharlene Wegner says:

I like #2 with the color-coordinated font. The picture is really nice!

  4. Diane Sallans says:

I voted for the green print, but they are all good.

  5. orchid7 says:

I think the pink font is best- the others look too busy and cluttered.
The pose strikes me as just a bit odd though- almost as if she’s just tripped and fallen on top of him and is trying to catch herself. (Either that, or she’s about to bite him- I can’t decide which.)

  6. Margaret Stewart says:

The green printing stands out an is the easiest to read quickly – thus catching a potential customer’s eye. Now where to preorder RIGHT now!!

  7. Cathy P says:

I was torn between the pink font and the yellow, but chose the yellow. It is the most eye catching.

  8. Whitney says:

I am just Not “pink” person! Besides it is the least legible.

  9. I voted for the green one because it’s the boldest and goes well with the purple. The pink is nice, too, because it suits Prudence’s personality: nice, subtle and unpretentious…
I honestly can’t wait to read it, no matter the color of the font ;)

  10. Raonaid Luckwell says:

Not a fan of Pink… so anytime I see pink I tend to disregard or ignore it. Just how I am… The gold yellow lettering stands out.

The pink blends into the background. The yellow really makes it pop out saying “Hey look at me!”

  11. Jeanne Miro says:

    Hi Sara!

I love the cover with the “gold” (it’s too stunning to simply be called “yellow”!). It really makes it pop and gets you in the mood for some hot romance!

  12. Title in teal -= unusual, would attract the eye.
like a little more chest hair on my guys! so much more fun to play with….

  13. Darnell says:

The green font stands out. I don’t remember seeing any other books with that color font. It’s welcoming!

  14. Angela H says:

I like the green font, seems more in keeping with the series (esp since Scotsmen Prefer Blondes was gold on green and The Marquess Who Loved Me is pink on blue, haven’t had green script yet!) LOL Thanks and good luck on the newest installment!

  15. I like the pink font. If I didn’t know you, Sara, I’d choose the book for the cover alone. Those colors appeal to me greatly.

  16. Robin the Book Nerd says:

I like the green font! But they all look good. :)

  17. Loved the cover with the PINK Lettering. It looks elegant. Thank you for the giveaway.

  18. sue king says:

They’re all nice but the green is the best.

  19. ione cherry says:

i like the green font. the green stands out really nice on the background.

  20. Janice Hougland says:

I think of the green font for Christmas…and I guess the yellow would be ok since there are yellow flames in fire…but I just like the look of the pink. I voted!

  21. Catherine Lemanski says:

I like the cover with the yellow script as it reminds me of fire.

  22. Karen Vega says:

I love the Teal one! It just pops out at you!

  23. Pat Spaulding says:

Like the Green writing – Not many books have the green lettering.

  24. I am not a big fan of green but I think that one makes the cover look very striking. Good luck on the release and thanks for the giveaway (although I am not sure the rafflecopter is going to load for me).

  25. Love the “gold” printing, shows a little class and sass

  26. The third cover caught my attention because of the yellow but I pick the second cover. The color coordination of it matching appeal to me even though I’m not a fan of pink. It matches greatly and blends in. Plus the lighting of the second isn’t too dark or too white/light. Thanks for the giveaway and I can’t wait for the release!

  27. I love them all! But the yellow font stood out more against them all.

  28. I liked the yellow it caught my eye and that’s the one I voted for,

  29. I think the yellow and green clash with the purple, so default is the pink. I’d try a teal blue myself.

  30. Ruth Gutscher says:

They’re all pretty but the green print is more vibrant and stands out more !! I’m sorry I don’t tweet

  31. Carol L says:

I like the Pink font. It looks elegant and quiet, not distracting from the great picture. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity Sara.
    Carol L.

  32. Raeline Peterson says:

I just wanted to add that the green writing on the cover makes it stand out more .But any way you pick the cover is beautiful.

  33. I think the yellow/gold went best with the overall coloring, plus yellow for fire fits the title.

  34. Sheila M says:

    The yellow stands out.

  35. Yvonne Butler says:

I picked the pink? Looked more rasberry to me. Newer color than the others.

  36. It’s pink all the way for me…I love my pink and that’s just the way I am. :)

  37. Juli Lear says:

I like the contrast of the green font. It’s catchier—makes it stand out.

  38. I am sorry but I do not do Twitter. I don’t like it. I like the green it stands out better on the book self.

  39. I like the pink one — there is already yellow on one of the covers. Prudence is just not so out there with her personality!! I love your books!!!
Thanks for sharing your talent with us!!!

  40. Lori Meehan says:

Definitely the green font. It shows up stronger.

  41. BookLady says:

I really like the cover with the gold font. It stands out and catches your eye immediately. Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!

  42. I liked the gold. It seems to go with the title and just popped.

  43. Personally, I liked the teal one best. BUT I voted for the gold because it jumped out the most. Sometimes you have to go for eye catching over personal preference!

  44. Rita Wray says:

They are all nice but I voted for the yellow.

  45. Hi all! Thank you so much for all the comments – I’m overwhelmed! I’m on my way to Texas tomorrow, but I’ll try to respond to as many comments as I can from the airport. Keep the feedback coming, though – Prudence deserves her happy ending, but she deserves a great cover too :)

  46. Patsy Nelson says:

I voted for the GREEN because it immediately stood out with me. Thinking of fire, I was surprised not to see red(It’s my favorite color) :-) Thanks for the freebie now I have something new to read this weekend. Good luck everyone in the contest.

  47. Laurie G says:

The last one with the yellow caught my eye!

  48. Sue Brandes says:

Love the pink front. They are all nice.

  49. All of them look good, but the yellow I think stands out more. It will make it easier to pick out in the store, will draw readers attention to that cover due to the contrast of the colors.

  50. While the yellow one caught my eye, I like the green one more

  51. Pat Cochran says:

The yellow font was more eye-catching!

    Pat C.

  52. The pink did it foe me. Sara. Loved the pose also.

  53. I love the second one the best. I think the green and yellow don’t go with the rest of the colors. It’s too much of a contrast. Sorry, I like playing with graphics so I’m obsessed when it comes to color coordinating. LOL

    Wanda Barefoot

  54. Jolene P says:

I really like the Yellow/gold lettering. The green works really well too. Both of those colors look good with the purple and will stand out on a book shelf. To me the pink lettering blends in to much, it wouldn’t be the first to catch my eye in a row of books.

  55. My reading vision isn’t quite 20-20 and the yellow really stood out from the others for me.

  56. Jessica B says:

The teal (green) lettering and the gold lettering stand out the most on the purple background. I think the pink is too close a color to the purple and doesn’t stand out as much.

  57. Tammy Turner says:

I have definitely been waiting for this book most off all. Prudence definitely needs a happily ever after especially away from her mother. As for the covers I didn’t care for the green one at all cause it has a Christmas feel to it. The pink has a sweetness to it like Pru character. The yellow one made me think of fire like in the title. I wasn’t able to enter contest though cause stupid rafflecopter wasn’t working. But wanted to give my opinion.

  58. Jeanne Miro says:

I just realized that I am one of the few who have picked the “gold” (yellow) as my favorite but I still think that after reading the excerpt on your website that it portrays the feel of the story the best!

  59. The green small print is very difficult to read. The background is darker with green. I chose pink. However, the gold small print is the easiest to read. the gold also has the lightest background which makes it stand out a little better. I still like the pink the best. Looking forward to the book.

  60. Carmen Real-Morales says:

I love the first one, the one with green writing. Beautiful cover!!! Can’t wait for the book.

  61. I like the middle one with Pink writing. Waiting for the book eagerly. I am glad Alex and Prudence are coming together.
